Newsletters & Brochures

The goal of Graphic Publishing is to make the process of getting your newsletter or brochure printed in the most cost effective and timely manner possible. Additionally, the process to mail your newsletters should be fast, simple, and at the very least cost possible. Graphic Publishing is a high volume printer/ publisher with expertise in high-speed digital printing and bulk mail processes.

We have put together a special pricing program that will give each organization the benefits of mass purchasing power. This lowers your cost and provides you with an excellent quality product for your membership. Included in this program is base pricing for Newsletters and Brochures. We are including in our package to you the following samples:

• Newsletter – Option 1: Standard Digital Printing (All Black & White). We have provided pricing for 4-24 page newsletters. If your newsletter exceeds 24 pages, we can provide pricing or expand our pricing matrix.
  
• Newsletter – Option 2: High Quality Digital Printing (All Black & White). We have provided pricing for 4-24 page newsletters. If your newsletter exceeds 24 pages, we can provide pricing or expand our pricing matrix.

• Newsletter – Option 3: High Quality Digital Printing (Color Cover and Black & White Text). We have provided pricing for 4-24 page newsletters. If your newsletter exceeds 24 pages, we can provide pricing or expand our pricing matrix.

  Looking at these samples you should be able to see the quality difference especially in the photo reproduction.

Payment

Payment will be made directly to Graphic Publishing, Inc., 6170 Research Park Boulevard, Huntsville, AL 35806.

Payment should be made by Credit Card. If other payment options (checks) are necessary, let us know.  It is our goal to receive payment at the time of shipment. In the case of postage, we do need the postage payment in advance.

Newsletter Instructions

Newsletters should be submitted to us in a digital form and can be sent via email or sent to us on a CDROM. The type of file you send is important. We can work with files from the following programs: Quark Express, Adobe Pagemaker, Adobe InDesign, Microsoft Word, or Microsoft Publisher. You can also use any other program in which you can create and send us a PDF file.   

Basically your file is the same regardless of which option you select for printing. The difference is in the quality level of each specific print option. We do highly recommend that all photo be 300 dpi for the best appearance. Photos less than 300 will appear more "grainy".

To print the newsletters as we have designated by our pricing structure, your total page count should be a factor of 4 (4, 8, 12, 16, 20, 24, etc.). This will allow us to print on an 11” x 17” sheet.

Please allow adequate space on the back of your newsletter for the postage and address area. We are a high volume mail processing center and are required to adhere to all U.S. Postal Service regulations.

Photos: To get the best reproduction result for your photos, please make sure they are the highest possible resolution possible. We recommend using a resolution of 300dpi at the size you want the photo in your newsletter. Feel free to contact us with any questions you may have.

Newsletter Layout

The Newsletter pricing we have provided is based on receiving complete digital files from our customers. If layout is required, our standard rate for total layout is $50 per page, but can be less if we are provided a mix of digital and hardcopy originals and photos. At your request, we can create a simple to use standard “digital Template” for your use for each issue.

To assist is preparing digital files for those who have not prepared files for print before, we could provide a couple versions of standard newsletter templates for use with Microsoft Word (no charge for templates).

Newsletter Proofs

Once we have your file and are ready to print, we will provide either a digital PDF proof that we will email to you or we will print a pre-production print sample and send to you for approval.

Newsletter Production

Newsletter production will normally begin within a day after we receive your approval of the proof. Print production normally will take only one-two days followed by a day for binding/folding, and if we are going to mail your newsletter, an additional day for mail processing and addressing including delivery to the U.S. Post Office.

Newsletter Mailing

If we are providing the service of mailing your newsletters, the following is a general outline of what we do to insure that your newsletters are mailed effectively and economically. There is normally a fee associated with our mail processing production activities, however, we are waiving that fee as an additional value added service to you.

Your address list should be submitted to us in a spreadsheet format (Microsoft Excel for instance). We will CASS Certify your address list against the latest U.S. Postal Service database of known good addresses, apply a 9 digit zip code, apply a U.S. Postal Service recognized bar code to speed delivery, and presort the addresses into proper postal delivery sequence. Your addresses will be printed onto your newsletter using a high resolution, high speed inkjet printer. As required by postal regulations, your newsletter may be tabbed closed. The finished newsletters will be placed into U.S. Postal Service containers and delivered directly to the U.S. Postal Service Bulk Mail Facility.

Newsletter Postage

You are responsible for reimbursing us for the postage. The postage charge will be added to your invoice. We charge you only the exact postage rate that the U.S. Postal Service charges us. Newsletters will be mailed at the least expensive postage option available. Depending on the number of newsletters being mailed, we will send via 1^st Class Postage or Standard Rate (3^rd Class). The cost savings for mailing via Standard Rate are huge but the minimum number of pieces is 500. The minimum number of pieces to be mailed via “1^st Class Presort” is 300. Quantities less than 300 pieces will be mailed at normal 1^st Class U.S. Postage.   

Newsletter Shipping

We can ship large quantities to any domestic or international location you choose. Provide us with the quantity, address, contact name, and contact phone number and we will ship immediately after production.

You are responsible for reimbursing us for the shipping.
